Inside & Outside
Noticing:
14" of snow since Thursday.
How much i love and hate February.
Charlie and i went snow shoeing in the woods. We didn't make it as far as usual, he had to stop and rest (and so did i).
Bluebird sky today.
Grey sky on Valentines day, but so beautiful just the same.
How much i love the lap quilt i finally tied, that follows me from the bedroom to the living room. Bringing fall colors into our home to brighten the February blah.
Wind bursts blowing snow to create glitter under the sun.
Gift of a snow day spent at home with my love.
The fruit trees are buried.
Looking up at the mess of branches intertwined with each other, those few leaves still hanging on, waiting for spring.
I'm knitting in-the-round for the first time and have no idea what I'm making, but it's relaxing.
Homemade turkey soup for v day lunch (because i was home), bread baked for the week, red velvet cake for v day dessert.
Realizing how easy it really is to make cake from scratch. Seriously.
Hubs made dinner tonight while i laid on the couch doing absolutely nothing but chatting with him.
It was marvelous.
This VT beauty is the perfect decoration to admire while i do the dishes.
March will be here before we know it.
We'll be tapping next week.
I love all your snow! We've had likely almost that much in the past week, but its been super wet sticky stuff that melts on the south facing hill slopes within the next day. Haven't been in snowshoes at all this winter, which is sad as it is my favorite winter activity. Luckily there is always next year :) Enjoy the last bits of winter, wish I could come visit and help you make syrup! (and when February gets too long, remember seed starting is just around the corner!!) :)
ReplyDeleteI love it all too, we got ANOTHER foot last night.....thank goodness for the seasons and looking forward to seed starting and boiling! Thanks for the reminder :)
