A trip to VT & back

Ah.  A beautiful sunny day spent cruising the roads up to VT to see one of my dear friends.  A day squished between two snowy days.  It was perfect.

Did i mention that we got another foot of snow yesterday, along with another 4" today?  This truly is "The Long Winter!"

Anyways, back to the road.  The sunshine.  The tunes & a fresh cup of tea to join me at takeoff at 7:30am.

Nine degrees at home.

Views of the notch in the distance.  Four degrees.

Coming into the notch.  Negative 5 degrees.  Crazy skiers on Cannon at 8:30am.

Hitting the VT state line at 9:00am, five degrees.  Farm silos begin to emerge.

Small VT town.  B&J's delivering.

Destination: Jeffersonville, VT.  9 degrees.  Farms in every direction, so beautiful.

Headed home.  4:30pm.  12 degrees.

Sun sets over Danville, VT.

This view.

This sunset.  That song.

The gratitude i feel for living in a place this beautiful.

It's dark as i roll back down through the notch.  Hoping that the moose & deer stay off the road.  3 Degrees.

Home at 6:30pm.  19 degrees.  Hubs cooked up parmesan pork chops accompanied by mac & cheese for my return.  He said it's a real man's meal.  Veggies will have to wait for another night.

I'm game.
